Hale Bopp # 6

The South West is often dark enough to see many stars. When the comet flew over us it hung, fork-tailed in the clear sky night after night. Mole, walking the dog, felt privilaged to see the comet; enough to provoke a series of brooches, each with the elements of Mole, dog, moon, Comet and the Plough star system. (We are up to "#7 Hale Bopp on a Frosty Night").

Opal for the comet as both depend upon water for their being.
