Mans' Gift to the Sea #2

Many requests have been made to the artist for an expose of the philosophy behind the work. After initially being puzzled, Mole now replies that he has none; nor did he ever have.

Many themes may be persued, a subject for more investigation elsewhere: The Sea's Gift to Man and vice versa is a good example.

It has always seemed to Mole that what we give to the sea is brutal and unthinking whilst the sea keeps on giving up bounty and beauty without complaint. He adopts an impartial viewpoint and makes work showing the nets, hooks and rubbish that bring down albatross, dolphin and whole species.
