In 2001 Mole was invited to show in St. Louis, U.S.A by some interested Americans. By this time the black and white feelings had turned to colour. As often happens with artists, poets etc, there is a gift to be found in the sad times.
For Mole this gift was a liberation from all constrictions.
He no longer answers telephones for example. His work freed up and became more adventurous.
Nothing shows this more than Hale Bopp Brooches over seven years.
The first Hale Bopp Comet Brooch exemplifies this.
