In 2008 Mole was commissioned to make a brooch to be donated to the Victoria and Albert Museaum, London.
This was very neat as it was to be in memoriam for Valerie Stewart. This is the lady that Paul Preston had as his first gallery contact (1973); later a long standing friend.
Further, it was the V & A where Preston first became intoxicated by the glorious artifacts. Neat!
The piece was commissioned by a friend and companion of Valerie, they both being Medievalists. They travelled together to indulge their passion.
